SPRING GARDEN COMPETITION
Entry forms for the Spring Garden Competition can be downloaded from the column on the right and are now available from The Post Office, Paper Shop, Public Library, Doctors Surgery,The Charity Shop, Dove House Hospice and also The Town Hall, 2 Linegate. The closing date for the competition is Monday 2ndApril and judging will take place on Thursday 5thApril by The Town Clerk, The Council Handyman and The Town Mayor. The judges would particularly like to hear from new residents who are entering their gardens for the first time. The judges also look forward to visiting the regular gardeners to see what changes they have introduced since last year. Entry forms for the Summer Garden Competition, which takes place in July each year, will be available end of April. The awards for both competitions will be presented at an event to be held in the Community Hall on Friday 26th October when all the gardeners who enter can take part in a quiz accompanied by a delicious free buffet supper.
