Families wishing to erect a monument or a headstone are asked to contact the Town Clerk via either the Funeral Director or Stone Mason to approve the design.  If the Town Clerk thinks the design or wording is unsuitable he or she will bring the matter to the attention of the Town Council.

The Holme Road Cemetery is open daily and visitors are asked to respect the need for peace and tranquillity.  Grave spaces are sold to families in perpetuity. Maintenance of the monuments is the responsibility of the families who erect then and not the Town Council, although every care will be taken not to damage them whilst maintaining the Cemetery.

The above fees are reviewed on an Annual basis and the new rates come into force on 1st April.
